After winning a third Super Bowl and winning the MVP of the game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has seen legendary levels of success in his career.
Despite all of his accomplishments, he still wishes he could go back in time to a certain period from his professional football career.
This week, Mahomes made it apparent on his X account that he was not interested in using his 40-yard sprint time at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine.
As of this week, the combine is underway! Mahomes wrote, “All I ask is that @nflnetwork stop using my 40 overlay.”
Every year, the Network usually compares the performances of existing NFL players with prospects in various workouts.
Although Mahomes isn’t proud of his 4.80 ERA as a Texas Tech player, it didn’t stop Kansas City from selecting him in the first round.
When using Mahomes’ video in many side-by-side comparisons during Thursday’s defensive linemen-led practice, the coverage ignored his warning.
It’s funny that the two-time league MVP is still thinking about his performance from the Combine because he hasn’t had many embarrassing moments in his career.
