The Raiders are predicted to spend heavily in free agency this year, and they want to use some of their projected $50 million in salary cap space to add to their roster.
While it is known that Antonio Pierce wants to re-sign Josh Jacobs and Jermaine Eluemunor, Amik Robertson is another talent to keep an eye on.
Sports Illustrated insider Hondo Carpenter claims that Robertson had his greatest season as a professional by a wide margin in 2023, and organizations have taken note.
Hondo stated on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast that he believes Robertson will draw a lot of interest from possible suitors during free agency.
“I was told to tell me about Amik by an executive from another NFL team. I also informed him that he was a fantastic child.
He’s amazing in the changing area. You can’t find anything negative about Amik. I believe the Raiders would be thrilled to have him return.
“I’m a little bit suspicious that Amik Robertson will score a great deal during his free agency.
I’m not sure whether that will work within the Raiders’ budget, but I can guarantee you that Amik will earn a ton of money, which is fantastic for him.
It will be fascinating to watch where clubs rank Robertson among the second-tier cornerbacks that enter the market. He won’t be among the initial wave of cornerbacks signed in free agency.
