On Monday afternoon, Tyler Biadasz, the center for Wisconsin from 2017 to 2019, reached a three-year contract agreement with the Washington Commanders.
Biadasz, a fourth-round selection in the 2020 NFL draft, has started 47 games in his three seasons as a starter for the Dallas Cowboys. His outstanding 2022 season earned him a nomination to the Pro Bowl.
The Commanders acquired Biadasz with around $96 million in cap space in order to bolster a mediocre offensive line starting in 2023. In terms of pressure rate, Biadasz is among the best in the NFL, which is important in a division full of exceptional defensive linemen.
Throughout his 41 games as a starting center for Wisconsin, Biadasz received the Rimington Trophy in 2019, which is given to the top center in college football.

Most famously, the Amherst, Wisconsin native spent his whole collegiate career as a blocking back for one of the most renowned rushing backs in UW history, Jonathan Taylor, a two-time Doak Walker Award winner.
With rookie quarterback Dan Quinn expected to start under center and Brian Robinson Jr. developing in the backfield, the addition of Biadasz might prove beneficial for Quinn in his first season as head coach.
