The Los Angeles Chargers manage their salary-cap predicament without dismantling their entire team.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Chargers and standout pass rusher Joey Bosa have reached a deal on a restructured contract. According to the arrangement, Bosa won’t become a cap casualty and will stay with the Chargers.

Star players seem ready to stay with the Chargers, and the team has accomplished some amazing work in the last week. At one time, it appeared as though the team’s cap problems may harm both Khalil Mack and Bosa. Bosa has now followed Mack’s lead and agreed to renegotiate his contract, guaranteeing their continued inclusion on the squad. Mack had already done so earlier in the week. Due to the cap problem, just one prominent player has had to leave thus far.
Bosa’s productions been hindered by injuries throughout the past two seasons, but he has still recorded nine sacks in 14 games since the 2022 season began. As long as he can stay on the field, the 28-year-old, a four-time Pro Bowl pick, should have no trouble getting back to his previous level.
