People travel to Green Bay to see Jordan Love perform…………………………
We can all agree, I think, that Green Bay isn’t a very popular tourist destination. Individuals come here to play with me. After a contentious offseason, Aaron Rodgers returned to the Packers and stated as much three years prior.
Rodgers has left, and free agents are heading to Green Bay. It’s not because the city is a popular tourist destination, to be fair. Instead, it’s because the Packers made a wise choice that was the true catalyst for Aaron Rodgers’ desire to request a trade.
In addition to proving himself to be a reliable starter, Jordan Love is a desirable addition to the team in free agency. The two Packers trade acquisitions made history spoke with the Green Bay media on Friday. Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney both gave the new Packers quarterback high marks.
Former running back Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders said, “I was telling people when we were scouting them, from when we were playing them last year.” “When I watched him make a few throws, I thought, ‘Yeah, a lot of people can’t do that.'” Sling it on a dime and run backwards on one foot.
Thinking about that and just watching the movie on him kind of excited me. I am thrilled to play with him just based on his effortless ball throwing technique and tenacity.”
Xavier McKinney faced Jordan Love and the Packers the previous season while he was a member of the New York Giants. It’s interesting to note that Love struggled in his games against the Giants and Raiders. Love, though, is a top passer, according to McKinney.
“To be able to even have a chance, you need an elite quarterback,” the safety said. “And I believe he is an elite quarterback.”Since the Packers signed Adrian Amos, Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith, and Billy Turner in 2019, this has been their busiest free agency offseason.
Contracts and money
The Packers signed Xavier McKinney to a four-year contract worth $67 million, with escalators potentially raising that amount to $68 million. Although there is no money guaranteed after 2024, the first two years are virtually guaranteed to bring in an average of $16.75 million per season.
The Packers did, however, design the agreement so that the initial 2024 cap hit will be $7.8 million.
Josh Jacobs agreed to a four-year contract worth $48 million, or $12 million every season. However, only the first year is assured, with a $5.307 million cap hit for Jacobs.
The Packers added two key players, but their combined 2024 cap hits will only be $13.107 million, which is significantly less than the money they were able to save by, say, cutting David Bakhtiari.
