Tad Prescott, the brother of Dak Prescott, ranks the top 10 NFL quarterbacks and mocks Jalen Hurts.
This week, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s brother Tad joined the I Am Athlete podcast and attempted to list his favorite quarterbacks in the NFL. In an attempt to avoid coming across as overly biased, Tad chose to place his brother one slot below three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, rather than first.
But where he ranked Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts definitely grabbed people’s attention. For an amusing reason, the two-time Pro Bowler was left out of Tad Prescott’s top 10.
Tad made a joke on the show by saying, “You said quarterbacks, not running backs,” which made everyone chuckle.
Despite the fact that Hurts has exceeded 600 yards of total yardage in each of the previous three seasons, his passing stats are impressive. In 2023, he tallied a career-high 3,858 passing yards, 23 touchdown passes, and a 65.4% completion percentage. But in 2023, he had 15 interceptions, up from just six in 2022. Prescott had fifteen interceptions during the 2022 season, a season when many in Dallas were demanding that he be fired.
If a quarterback is removed from Tad Prescott’s rankings for rushing the ball more than nine times in a game, Lamar Jackson wouldn’t be ranked third. In 2023, Jackson had over 200 more rushing yards and only nine fewer carries than Hurts.
Fans are enraged by Prescott’s statement, “I would get (Dak) to leave Dallas.”
The brother of Dak has never been afraid to voice his opinions. This year, following Dallas’ playoff loss to the Packers, he voiced his opinions on social media, criticizing the Cowboys’ support base in the process.
“Dak Prescott loves this team and wants to bring it rings, but Cowboy fans why do you keep DMing me? TRUST ME,” he tweeted. “I too want him out of Dallas. The city and organization have been great to he and our family, but done with drama and the so called fans.”
“Those who truly follow or know me are aware that I have never made negative remarks about the Dallas Cowboys as a franchise or organization, nor have I ever made negative remarks about any of the players or the city of Dallas. I have a problem with the so-called fans,” he continued in a subsequent post.
Prescott was among the league’s most effective quarterbacks this season, despite the season ending too soon. He finished the season with a league-high 36 touchdown passes and 4,516 yards passing, good for third in the NFL.
After falling behind the Packers early on in the playoff match, Prescott was forced to shoulder a lot of the workload against them. In the defeat, he completed 41 of 60 throws for 403 yards, three touchdown passes, and two interceptions. This led to the Cowboys quarterback receiving negative feedback from the crowd.
