In Jalen Milroe’s first season starting at quarterback, Alabama won the SEC title game.
In Year 1, the once-four-star recruit had a rough start, losing at home to Texas and starting on the bench versus South Florida. He started drawing attention at the conclusion of the season when his dual-threat skills were clearly seen. This spring, Milroe finds himself in a new role—his first under Kalen DeBoer, the new head coach.
The redshirt junior has been working with the first team in an effort to show the new coaching staff that he is capable of taking the Tide to victory on Saturdays come fall. The Alabama quarterback used social media on Sunday to reveal his first noteworthy NIL agreement of the offseason. Milroe is the newest collegiate athlete to endorse the fitness supplement brand after he signed a deal with Six Star Pro Nutrition.
The company has consistently invested in the NIL market, collaborating with well-known artists like the Cavinder Twins. After signing TJ Power, Alex Karaban, Chloe Kitts, and Jaden Akins, Six Star recently started a March Madness campaign.
Milroe is not the first famous football player from college to partner with a well-known protein firm. This past fall, Brock Bowers, a former tight end for Georgia, signed a multi-year endorsement contract with MET-Rx.

In 2023, Milroe completed his passing career with 2,718 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. In addition, he gained 468 yards on the ground and led the club with 12 touchdowns on the rush. He was viewed as the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy and was given +1500 odds to win it, which is tied for the sixth-best odds available on Circa Sports.
Michael Penix Jr., DeBoer’s former quarterback at Washington, flourished in Seattle with the vertical passing scheme. At the Tide’s spring game on April 13, Alabama fans will see Milroe in the new system for the first time. ESPN’s sole scheduled game broadcast this spring is A-Day.
“There are some really amazing ones here,” DeBoer recently said. “Jalen has been the main attraction in that room and has performed admirably.” He and the other players who took those initial reps are giving it their all. However, I absolutely anticipate that the individuals who are truly eager will push the ones who are ahead of them to perform at their highest level. That’s what a football program should aim for.

Featuring partnerships with Rhoback, Beats by Dre, and the NIL group Yea Alabama, Milroe has amassed an extensive NIL portfolio. This past fall, he starred in a nationwide commercial for Hey Dude sneakers, which introduced a collegiate collection. He already had the EA Sports College Football 25 video game opted in, and he collaborated with Student-Athlete NIL to host a camp for young people in Tuscaloosa in January.
The quarterback is ranked fifth in the college football NIL rankings with an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.6 million. In addition, his valuation ranks No. 9 in the On3 NIL 100, a de facto NIL ranking of the best 100 high school and collegiate players based on their On3 NIL Valuation. This is the first of its type.
