Kader Kohou receives the fifth-largest performance-based pay incentive in the NFL………………………..
The NFL said on Monday that Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou, who played in 2023, received a $878,167 bonus through the performance-based pay program. Among all players in the league, Kohou’s bonus is the sixth greatest.
The goal of the performance-based pay plan is to provide players who see a lot of playing time yet have low-paying contracts bonuses.
After signing a three-year, $2.59 million contract as an undrafted free agent in 2022, Kohou, 25, participated in the 2023 season. Kohou received a sizeable bonus in 2023 after contributing to 938 defensive snaps (85% of the Dolphins’ defensive snap total) and 43 special teams snaps (9%).
The program awarded Kohou a bonus of $705,584 last year, which was the highest of any Dolphins player’s total and ranked 14th in the NFL.
In his 32 career games, 29 of which he started, Kohou has amassed 29 starts, 10 tackles for loss, 20 passes defensed, one interception, one sack, and one forced fumble. After the 2024 season, he is expected to become a restricted free agent.
