A “real chance” exists for Michigan football at 5-star offensive lineman……………………………….
With Andrew Babalola, a five-star 2025 offensive tackle, Michigan football has been on the rise. The 6 feet 6 inches, 280-pound tackle is ranked 29th overall in 2025 by 247 Sports composite.
Babalola is also the fifth-best offensive tackle in Overland Park, Kansas. He is related to Sherrone Moore, the head coach of the Michigan football team, who is also from Kansas.
When Babalola paid the Wolverines an unofficial visit in March, the exceptional big man was impressed. Recently, Michigan football hosted several top-tier offensive line prospects in 2025 and 2026. They are also moving in the right track with Avery Gach and Jack Lange, two 2025 tackles.
However, Tom Loy, a national recruiting analyst for 247 Sports, believes the Wolverines have a “very real chance” of obtaining Babalola’s commitment.
Michigan poses a serious danger to win this one, according to Loy’s remarks on his recruiting podcast. “It won’t be easy, but the interest in the Wolverines is very real.”
As of right now, Kansas State leads, according to the On3 prediction machine. Babalola is a 27 percent chance to commit to the Wildcats, but there is a lot of wiggle room in this recruiting class. The only program with a scheduled formal visit is Oklahoma.
Babalola has visited the campuses of Nebraska and other contenders on a few occasions. But not in 2024, yet. The five-star prospect has also had visits to Auburn, Tennessee, and Michigan State this spring. But I could definitely see the Wolverines winning this recruiting class out of all those teams.
