The Denver Broncos Make an Unexpected Pick in the Newest NFL Mock Draft for 2024…………….
Will 2024 see the Denver Broncos return to form?
The Denver Broncos have more questions than answers going into the 2024 NFL Draft after an incredibly chaotic off-season that included trading wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns and benching Russell Wilson despite owing him close to $40 million.
According to the most recent draft estimates from CBS Sports, Brock Bowers, an offensive weapon and tight end from Georgia, will be the next signal-caller selected by the Broncos.
“Bowers caught a staggering 26 touchdowns in three seasons at Georgia and was the first tight end taken off the board.”
The turbulent 2024 off-season for the Denver Broncos can be traced back to less than three years ago, when Russell Wilson signed a five-year, $242 million contract with the team after being traded by the Seattle Seahawks, his longtime team, after the 2021 season. Wilson was still owed close to $40 million by the Broncos, but during this off-season they made the decision to split ways with the probable Hall of Famer.
Wilson signed a one-year veteran minimum contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers just a few days after being released. Denver will pay Wilson $39 million to stay out of the league in 2024, even though Wilson will supposedly start in “Steel City” after the team traded former first-round pick Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles.
