NFL Analyst Offers Critical Analysis of Houston Texans
After a remarkable offseason in which they dramatically strengthened their squad on both sides of the ball, the Houston Texans are currently the NFL’s darlings.
The Texans made a trade to acquire great wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills after signing 1,000-yard rusher Joe Mixon and elite edge rusher Danielle Hunter in free agency.
Although Houston looks great on paper and seems to be a serious contender to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC, Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright believes we should apply the brakes.
Danielle Hunter,Stefon Diggs
Indeed, the Texans appear really good. They have extraordinary talent. After one of the greatest rookie seasons ever, C.J. Stroud is returning, and Diggs is joining a talented receiving corps that also features Tank Dell and Nico Collins.
Additionally, in 2024, Houston might have one of the most potent pass rushes in the NFL thanks to the combo of Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.
We don’t know, though, if the Texans will click.
Given Diggs’ history of issues with his quarterbacks, one must worry how he can manage Houston’s stacked offensive line when targets inevitably decline. Will he finally vent his frustration on Stroud? Will he start posting mysterious messages on social media and cause distractions?
In addition, the Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Baltimore Ravens are among the other teams in the AFC that have greater experience than the Texans. Houston might even encounter rivalry within its own division.
The Texans have undoubtedly been among the greatest winners of the offseason, and it is obvious that they are currently attempting to win a Super Bowl. Bravo to them.
However, before we crown Houston as the AFC’s second coming, we should probably wait and see how the team performs in September.
The Chiefs remain the overwhelming favorites as of right now.
