Is the projected win total for the Steelers in 2024 too high, too low, or about right?………………………..
The 2024 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 25, in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is quickly approaching. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a number of major holes on their roster that need to be filled going into the draft. The offensive line is the most urgently affected, but there are also holes at cornerback and wide receiver in the secondary after Diontae Johnson was traded.
We’ll look at the Steelers odds for 2024 below, along with their projected regular-season victory total heading into the NFL Draft, schedule strength, and whether or not the present odds could be a good deal before they fill those voids in the upcoming weeks.
On Thursday, April 25, in downtown Detroit, Michigan, the 2024 NFL Draft will get underway. It is drawing near very soon. Prior to the draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster has a number of significant holes that need to be filled. Although Diontae Johnson’s trade has left gaps at wide receiver and cornerback in the secondary, the offensive line is the area most in need of immediate attention.
Below, we’ll examine the Steelers’ 2024 odds as well as their anticipated regular-season win total going into the NFL Draft, the quality of their schedule, and whether or not the current odds would be a decent value before they fix those holes in the coming weeks.
The last two NFL seasons, the Steelers have a 19-15 record. That’s in spite of an offense under Matt Canada’s direction that finished 29th in the league with just 57 touchdowns and 350 points produced during that time. The Pittsburgh Steelers, with just 25 passing touchdowns in the regular season between Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, and wide receiver Chase Claypool, had the fewest aggregate passing touchdowns of any NFL team during that time. (Recall that prank from before?)
During that time, quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson have combined for 75 throwing touchdowns. Say no more. An improvement is an improvement.

Overall record vs opponents: 121–117 —.508
Now think about this:
All but one of the road games between the Steelers and their AFC North opponents will feature a quarterback who was either signed as a free agent or selected in the draft; in the case of the Colts, the quarterback has only made four career starts and has only played more than 22 snaps twice because of injuries.
The Steelers have an 8-4 record in the AFC North over the last two seasons. Two of those defeats occurred on the road against the Cleveland Browns. The other two defeats came from home games against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. Within the division, Tomlin has a 70-31 record since being hired in 2007.
The Steelers’ toughest opponents outside of the AFC North, the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs, will be played at home. The Steelers, under Tomlin, have a 97-40 record at home since 2007.
