Dan Campbell of the Lions is pleased that Justin Fields of the Steelers is no longer in the NFC North…………………..
Coach Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions acknowledged his satisfaction with Justin Fields leaving the NFC North after the deal that brought him to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to NBC Sports, Campbell stated, “I’m not going to lie, it’s nice to have Fields out of that division.”
But even with Fields out of the division, Campbell probably won’t look forward to playing his successor. It appears like the Bears moved on to select a better quarterback in the draft. This player will be Caleb Williams of USC, since Chicago is set to choose the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

In order to select Fields at No. 11 in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bears chose to forfeit the 20th overall pick, a fifth-round pick in 2021, a first-round pick in 2022, and a fourth-round pick in 2022 three years prior.
Fields, an Ohio State graduate, was regarded as Chicago’s quarterback of the future at the time. That is, until he was traded to Pittsburgh for a conditional sixth-round pick in 2025. There, he will start the season as backup quarterback to Russell Wilson.
