Prior to the draft, the Packers sign a former first-round tackle……………………………..
The offensive line of the Green Bay Packers now has more depth. The team signed offensive tackle Andre Dillard, a former first-round choice, on Thursday.
In 2019, Dillard was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 22nd overall pick. He was a member of the Tennessee Titans last season.
Even though the Eagles selected Andre Dillard in the first round, he never made a lasting impression as a starter. During his four seasons in Philadelphia, he only started nine games. He signed a three-year contract with the Tennessee Titans during the previous summer, and he started ten games as left tackle.
But after a year, he was set free. The move has no bearing on the Packers’ 2025 compensatory pick formula because Dillard was released from his prior contract. The team will still receive a seventh-round pick in 2025 as compensation for the loss of offensive lineman Yosh Nijman to free agency.
