Jireh Edwards of Maryland published his list of the top 10, and the 6-foot-1-inch, 194-pound prospect from the Buckeyes made the cut. The nation’s fifth safety and No. 71 overall prospect is a who’s who of college football, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, USC, Miami, and a few other states are among his choices. Since the outstanding safety was awarded a scholarship in January of this year, Ohio State has been after Edwards. The fact that so many of his other suitors went with the Buckeyes does give them a slight advantage.
For that cycle, Ohio State currently has just one commitment: wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.
