The quarterback most likely to be selected outside of the first round of the NFL Draft is named in a report……………………
It is anticipated that quarterbacks will be heavily selected in the first round of the NFL Draft next week. Four players could be selected in the first four picks, while Michael Penix Jr., the fifth player, is seen to have a strong chance of going in the first round.
But the number of quarterbacks selected on the first day of the draft might have a limit.
Bo Nix of Oregon is seen to be the quarterback most likely to be left out of the first round, if one does occur, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. The warning is that some team may think about trading up for Nix if he does seem to be in danger of dropping into round two, if only to get a possible fifth-year option linked to his rookie deal.
It wouldn’t be entirely shocking if Nix were to be eliminated in the first round because, at best, it’s thought that he has a higher chance of being selected later in the process. During the pre-draft process, Nix has not received much attention; this is also not the case for Penix, the other quarterback selected in the draft who is widely considered to be a second-tier pick.
Being a five-year starter in college, Nix is without a doubt the most seasoned high-end quarterback in the draft. During his final season at Oregon, he passed for 4,508 yards and 45 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
