Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, hasn’t been spotted in public since December, when paramedics and police were called to his Carmel home. After being rendered unconscious and administered Narcan, Irsay was treated. The police report classified the incident as both a “overdose” and a “overdose/poisoning,” mentioning that they were unsure of the drugs or additional chemicals that he might have consumed.
Irsay was receiving treatment for a serious respiratory ailment, according to a statement released by the Colts.
Irsay disputed on Monday that he had taken an overdose.
“It wasn’t an overdose,” Irsay said to Fox 59’s Mike Chappell. “I don’t understand why people make snap judgments on someone who has previously had their identity published in the newspaper. I don’t really give it much thought.
Irsay claimed to be “treating a leg injury,” which turned out to be a significant hematoma.
