Thursday night was a joyous occasion for Oregon Duck supporters, who were overjoyed that their team had once again produced players taken in the first round of the NFL Draft.
The Denver Broncos picked quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th overall choice in the 2024 NFL Draft. Nix will partner with Sean Payton in an offense that is ideal for him moving forward.
Six quarterbacks, including Nix, were chosen out of the 12 picks, a record for the NFL. Zach Wilson, the previous No. 2 overall pick, will now challenge him for the starting position. The Broncos knew they were hoping to draft Nix, so they traded for Wilson earlier this week with an eye on both the present and the future.
