Detroit selected Christian Mahogany, an offensive lineman for the Boston College Eagles, with its second sixth-round selection.

Mahogany performed a midseason self-correction that resulted in better footage later in the season, but his early tape was highly problematic owing to sloppy footwork brought on by a poor posture. Although his hand usage and punch are solid, he lacks the short-area moves necessary to be a reliable pass protector against NFL sub-packages.
