Which Tennessee football players who were not selected signed free agent contracts?
For Tennessee football, the 2024 NFL Draft was comparatively drama-free. There were just three projected draft picks for the Vols, and all three went rather close to where they were expected to go.
The one Vol that did fall a little bit was running back Jaylen Wright, who was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round as a 1,000-yard rusher.
The New England Patriots doubled down on quarterbacks, selecting Tennessee’s Joe Milton III in the sixth round after selecting North Carolina’s Drake Maye in the first round. Kamal Hadden, a cornerback for the defending Super Bowl champions, was the last Vol chosen. Later in the sixth round, the experienced corner was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs.
At the end of the three-day draft, many Vols signed undrafted free agent deals, despite the fact that just three Tennessee players heard their names called. Nine different Tennessee players, including two who chose to remain in Tennessee with the Titans, signed free agent contracts.
