Which players will the Pittsburgh Steelers select in the NFL Draft in 2024?
Troy Fautanu, Zach Frasier, Roman Wilson, Payton Wilson, Mason McCormick, Logan Lee, and Ryan Watts are the seven players that the Steelers organization has selected in the draft.
The path of young athletes into the NFL began with the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers have concentrated on bolstering the areas that need the most on their roster.
They have signed the players who will lead the attack as generals since the offseason. Along with Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett leaving, they first added quarterback Justin Fields in a trade with the Chicago Bears and free agency quarterback Russell Wilson, who previously played for the Denver Broncos.
Troy Fautanu: First Ronda, Pick 20
The University of Washington’s offensive tackle Troy Fautanu was selected by the AFC North club with their first pick (number 20) in this draft. Fautanu was a key player on the Huskies squad that played NCAA college football for the national championship.
Troy Fuatanu received the Morris Trophy as the conference’s best lineman and was included on the Pac-12 All-Team.
With Zach Frazier of West Virginia selected with the 51st overall pick, the Steelers retained their new offensive line addition for their second pick. Frazier will face starting center Nate Herbig.
In the third round of the draft, the Michigan Wolverines’ Roman Wilson, a wide receiver who won this year’s national championship, was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with Pick 84. Wilson caught 107 passes for 1,707 yards and 12 touchdowns over the course of four seasons, with 12 of those receptions coming in only the prior campaign. Wide receiver Diontae Johnson was traded from Pittsburgh to the Carolina Panthers in the offseason in exchange for cornerback Donte Jackson.
