The 2024 PGA Championship field was unveiled on Tuesday, and some celebrities will be contesting at Valhalla Golf Club on May 16-19.
Along with the current PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, the brilliant field is led by past winners Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. This is where you can find the whole field.
Thirty-three major champions and sixteen past tournament winners will be in the field in the 2024 PGA Championship. The champions of this week’s Myrtle Beach Classic and Wells Fargo Championship will still have two slots available.
The fact that the PGA Championship will be held at Valhalla for the fourth time is encouraging for the seasoned competitors. In the last two PGA Championships played at Valhalla, Woods (2000) and McIlroy (2014) became the winners. According to reports, Woods intends to scout the course at Valhalla before the competition.
Four times, Woods has won the PGA Championship; his most recent victory came in 2007. As part of his intention to play once a month while he works through the physical constraints that have plagued him since his devastating automobile incident in 2021, he is competing in this year’s event, which is just his third competitive tournament of 2024.
Earlier this month, Woods stated, “Hopefully that works out. I have the next three months—three majors.”
In order to participate in the 2024 U.S. Open, which will take place at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina from June 13–16, the 48-year-old has already accepted a special exemption. In July, he intends to participate in the British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland.
Woods will be participating in all four majors for the first time since 2019 if he can accomplish his objective.
