The Chicago Bears are ecstatic about their new, highly skilled rookie class. With one of them, though, they may need to proceed cautiously following an injury sustained during rookie minicamp.
Possibly the biggest beneficiaries of the NFL offseason were the Chicago Bears. They also added Austin Ekeler and D’Andre Swift to their roster and were selected first and ninth overall in the NFL Draft.
As anticipated, QB Caleb Williams was selected with the first overall pick. Then, they made sure he received a top weapon on the same schedule, bringing in Rome Odunze, a star wide receiver for Washington.
Regretfully, it appears that the Bears were unable to witness their new weapon in action on Saturday. Odunze had to miss practice due to a persistent hamstring ailment, per Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.
The Bears hope that Odunze and Caleb Williams’ combo will last for many years to come. On Friday, Odunze was on the practice field and looking well. Smith continued. “Odunze’s hamstring problem doesn’t seem to be serious, so playing it safe rather than worrying about a long-term injury is the main reason for holding him out.”
Being a Chicago Bears fan has never been more exciting than it is right now. Thus, it was understandable that the group choose to proceed cautiously with one of their future faces.
