The Tigers have now had two colleagues taken by one team in seven of the previous ten NFL Drafts, with the Eagles’ selection of the Clemson tandem.
In terms of overall touchdowns (33), rushing touchdowns (31), 100-yard rushing games (10), all-purpose yards (4,253), and kickoff return yards (904), Shipley finished his outstanding Clemson career (2021–2023) within the top 10 in school history. In terms of rushing yards, he was rated 11th (2,747).
Shipley became the eighth player at Clemson to ever rush for 30 touchdowns in 2023 and the ninth player in school history to score 30 touchdowns in a lifetime. In 12 games last season, he finished with 827 running yards, five rushing touchdowns, and 31 receptions for 244 yards and two receiving scores.

Over 39 career games from 2021–2023, Trotter Jr. concluded his highly regarded Clemson career with 202 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 13 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and four interceptions (two of which were returned for touchdowns).
In 2023, Trotter was a nominee for the Butkus Award and once again garnered All-America recognition from multiple sites. Throughout the course of 12 games as a junior, he was credited with a team-high 88 tackles, a team-best 15.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions (including a pick).
All six of Clemson’s 2024 draft selections—cornerback Nate Wiggins (Round 1, Baltimore Ravens), defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro (Round 2, Atlanta Falcons), edge rusher Xavier Thomas (Round 5, Arizona Cardinals), and defensive tackle Tyler Davis (Round 6, Los Angeles Rams)—have now signed rookie contracts. Trotter and Shipley have also signed contracts.
