In their respective sports, King and West are both legendary figures. King, a former top-ranked tennis player, has won 39 Grand Slams in her professional career. The legendary player from the LPGA, West won the U.S. Women’s Open and finished in the top three in multiple other majors.
Clark hopes to achieve the same level of success as King and West when she embarks on her professional career.
In her debut contest, she started off strong, scoring 20 points in a defeat to the Connecticut Sun. Clark finished the game against the Liberty with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Despite Clark’s bright career beginning, Indiana has lost its first three games and is still searching for its first victory of the year. The Fever finished 13–27 in 2023 and have missed the postseason the past seven years.
Indiana is hopeful that after Clark adjusts to the professional levels, the No. 1 choice in the WNBA draft will help lead the team to some victories.
