Savagely mocking UCF after the referee attempted to get him to go with the Knights, a four-star tight end recruit
Vander Ploog will not be attending UCF. Despite receiving no better scholarship offers, he recently participated in an off-season competition and took severe jabs at the Knights.
Neither the athlete nor the university looked good in it!

Ploog is rated as a four-star college football prospect for the 2025 recruiting class. He is regarded as one of the top 15 tight ends in the nation and a top 250 prospect overall at 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds.
Currently, Arizona State, Cal, SMU, Utah, Washington, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, and Washington State have extended scholarship offers to the Fullerton, California native. UCLA has expressed interest as well, but no offer has been made.
Ploog does not have the University of Central Florida on his short list. No scholarship has been offered by the Knights.
They have no intention of actively pursuing a recruitment of the West Coast tight end anytime soon.
He’s not interested in anything. UCF would be wasting its time on it.
During the weekend, Ploog was mic’d up at an OT7 event, and one of the officials asked him where he was attending school. He declared that he was unsure!
The referee (not so) lightheartedly suggested Space U as a possibility. Grinning, Ploog informed him he would think about the Citronauts before telling him how he really felt about the university.
