An Open Letter to the Basketball Community in North Carolina
Greetings, Tar Heel Family
I am excited and full of appreciation as I write this letter. Choosing to play basketball for North Carolina has been one of the most important and rewarding choices I’ve ever made. I am reminded of the legacy I have joined as soon as I put on the famous Carolina blue and walk onto the court. This legacy is based on perseverance, hard effort, and an undying love for the game.
I would like to thank Coach Davis and the entire coaching staff first and foremost. Your encouragement and faith in me have been crucial to my growth as a person as well as a player. Your dedication to perfection is admirable, and I feel privileged to have such amazing mentors in my life.
You guys have embraced me with open arms, and we have created relationships that go beyond just basketball. Every workout, every match, and every hour we spend together is a step closer to realizing our group objectives. Every obstacle becomes manageable because of your friendship and support, and I’m honored to call you my brothers.
We are motivated to achieve by the steadfast support of our fans and the larger North Carolina community. Your enthusiasm for Tar Heel basketball is something extremely unique, and you bring an unrivaled level of excitement to every game in the Dean Dome. Every time I step onto the court, I swear to give it everything I’ve got—not just for my teammates and myself, but for all of you who have faith in us.
Lastly, I would like to pay tribute to the legacy of past Tar Heel athletes. I do not take for granted the opportunity to play on the same court and walk the same hallways as legends. I’m determined to add to North Carolina basketball’s illustrious past and uphold the standards set by my predecessors.
I am really grateful for this amazing chance, everyone. Let’s make this the season to remember.
Go Heels!
Sincerely,
Harrison Ingram
