James Jones and Jeremy Cox are signed by Arlington Renegades.
This week, the Arlington Renegades made a few roster changes. Leddie Brown has been placed on the injured reserve list, while the organization has inked contracts with RB Jeremy Cox and DB James Jones.
Jeremy Cox came up with the Southwest Kansas Storm of the Arena Football League. Having played with the Houston Roughnecks in the 2023 XFL season, Cox is a well-known player.
In just 61 snaps, Cox registered 120 rushing yards and a touchdown for Houston. PFF said he was one of the Roughnecks’ most effective rushers of the entire season.

Leddie Brown’s season is coming to an end, thus Jeremy Cox has been added to the roster. Since Dae Dae Hunter was placed on injured reserve in week six, the Renegades have had difficult breaks in their backfield.
This season, Brown averaged 3.1 yards per carry on 39 carries for 124 yards. He had made his Arlington debut in the championship game the previous year, and he has continued to be an important member of the team this year. According to PFF, his offensive grade was 63.3.
James Jones IV
James Jones recently completed a stint in the armed forces. In 2017, he made his Air Force debut, starting nine of the team’s twelve games. That season, Jones recorded 52 tackles and one interception.
James did not spend a lot of time on the field during the ensuing years. Due to his injuries, he eventually became a rotational player.
James took part in and did really well in the XFL 2023 Combine. Due to this, he caught the attention of certain XFL teams, and the Arlington Renegades have now added him for the final two games.
Last Words
It appears that general manager Rick Mueller and his staff are considering this team’s future. Arlington, who has a 1-7 record, is anticipated to make some changes in the offseason.

Whether Arlington chooses to give one of their other quarterbacks a chance to establish himself will be interesting to watch. Holton Ahlers hasn’t played this year, and Lindsey Scott hasn’t spent much time on the field. This weekend, the St. Louis Battlehawks will visit the Renegades.
Update: As of right now, DL Darrius Moragne has also been released by the Arlington Renegades. After being cut after training camp, he was brought back to the team a few weeks ago. This year, Moragne did not play any snaps.
