To the Warriors Family and Community,
With thankfulness, hope, and determination, my heart is overflowing as I sit down to write this. I’ll try my best to describe the feelings this trip with the Golden State Warriors has brought to me, even though it’s difficult.
To my teammates, first and foremost, you are my brothers. Together, we have fought, rejoiced in our wins, and taken lessons from our defeats. I’ve been challenged by all of you to improve as a player and a person. We have a very unique bond that we cherish both on and off the court. We’ve established a culture that values honesty, diligence, and a steadfast desire to succeed. Let’s maintain that attitude whatever the difficulties we encounter.
To Coach Kerr and the entire coaching staff: thank you so much for your wisdom and counsel. I’ve learned from you to embrace the process, view the game in fresh ways, and never back down from the hard effort necessary to succeed. Our success is largely due to your leadership, and I will always be appreciative of your faith in this team and in me.
We are grateful to the Warriors organization for their consistent support and for fostering an environment that allows us to flourish. Your dedication to excellence establishes the bar for what a sports organization ought to be, both on and off the court. I’m honored to represent such a prestigious team and wear this shirt.
And to the amazing Warriors supporters: you are our team’s lifeblood. Every day, your devotion, enthusiasm, and passion inspire us. We sense your presence whether we’re playing at Chase Center or on the road, and it motivates us to play to the best of our abilities. We appreciate your support at both good times and bad. We compete and succeed for your benefit.
As we move forward, let us never forget that our strength is found in our oneness. When we work together, we can conquer any challenge and do anything we set our minds to. Let’s continue this amazing trip together and create many more great memories.
With gratitude and determination,
Stephen Curry
