Greetings, Lakers Community and Family.
It’s critical to gather together during times of transition and consider our common journey. I’m writing to you today with a range of emotions as we prepare for Coach Darvin Ham’s departure. Although it is never simple, change is a necessary component of our quest for excellence.
On and off the court, my teammates are my brothers. Together, we’ve gone through highs and lows, and in the process, our bond has gotten stronger. We are grieving over Coach Ham’s departure, but we also want to take this as a chance to reiterate our dedication to one another and our objectives. We possess the ability, the will, and the heart to conquer any challenge. Let’s keep challenging one another, holding one another responsible, and aiming for excellence each and every day.
To Coach Ham: we are grateful for your commitment, zeal, and the insight you shared with our group. Your contributions have not gone unappreciated, and your influence has been significant. We appreciate the foundation you helped establish and your leadership. We hope all of your upcoming pursuits bring you nothing but success.
To the Lakers organization: every choice you make demonstrates your dedication to creating a winning culture. We have faith in your vision and your steadfast assistance. We can overcome this change together and come out stronger. Although change can be difficult, it also presents a chance for development and rejuvenation.
To the amazing Lakers supporters: you are our team’s lifeblood. Your devotion, zeal, and enthusiasm are unmatched. Every play, every game, every moment—we feel your support. Your unflinching faith in us is more important than ever during these times of transition. We are dedicated to giving you the happiness and success you deserve because we play for you.
As we proceed, let us never forget that our strongest asset is our unity. We can conquer any obstacle and realize our common goals if we work together. Cheers to the future and let’s continue this adventure together with greater strength and resolve than before.
With gratitude and resolve,
LeBron James
