Alabama is aiming to land Kalen DeBoer’s first five-star recruit of 2025.
Kalen DeBoer has gotten off to a strong start in the 2025 recruitment process. This is his first official full class as head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
Alabama’s 2025 class is currently ranked No. 8 in the USA by 247Sports, with 10 committed players, six of whom are four-stars.
The one thing DeBoer hasn’t done at Alabama yet, other from coaching in a game, is sign a five-star recruit. However, it appears like the Crimson Tide are headed in the right direction in that regard.
Dijon Lee is a five-star cornerback recruit from Mission Viejo, California. He recently made an official visit to Tuscaloosa, and the Tide had a significant impression.
“It went well.” “It was an excellent visit,” Lee told BamaOnline. “I’m connecting with the coaches pretty well. I spent a terrific time outside. I got along pretty well with the other players. We got to know Zabien Brown a little better. I talked with Domani [Jackson]. I just had a wonderful visit.”
Brown will be a freshman at Alabama this season after committing as a five-star cornerback last year. Jackson is another five-star cornerback. He transferred from USC to Alabama as part of the Nick Saban-DeBoer transition.
It’s worth mentioning that Lee has also had formal visits to Washington, Texas A&M, and Georgia, but he admits he likes what Alabama can offer him in terms of growth.
“I’ve seen a couple of players who attend the school now, like Zabien…” “I’ve just seen him improve dramatically since he got there,” Lee explained. “That’s what really stood out to me.”
On3 presently estimates Lee has an 87 percent chance of joining the Tide. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is the fourth best cornerback in the 2025 class.
