Kentucky and Purdue agree to play a home-and-home series.
The Wildcats and Boilermakers will play a two-year series beginning next season.
The Kentucky Wildcats and the Purdue Boilermakers have announced a home-and-home series for the next two seasons, with Kentucky playing Purdue at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana, on December 14 and the Wildcats hosting the Boilermakers in 2025-26.
The tip time and television broadcast for the future season’s contest will be announced at a later date.
Kentucky is 0-2 in all-time matchups against Purdue, dating back to 1999. The Wildcats fell to the Boilermakers 48-40 in the Boilermaker Blockbuster in Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on December 18, 1999, before losing 87-67 in Memorial Coliseum on December 1, 2000.
Lindsey Hicks, the Wildcats’ associate head coach, was a member of Purdue’s top-ranked recruiting class in 2000. Hicks helped the Boilermakers reach four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including the national championship game in 2001. Purdue won three Big Ten Championships during Hicks’ tenure and advanced to the Elite Eight (2003) and Sweet 16 (2004).
Kentucky learned about its Southeastern Conference home and away opponents last week. The final schedule will be announced at a later date.
