Greetings, Cleveland Cavaliers fans and the community.
With this letter, I hope that all is well with you all. As a fellow athlete, I am aware of the deep bond that exists between a team and its fans, and I am appreciative of the chance to speak to you all today.
I want to start by saying how much I appreciate the Cleveland Cavaliers organization, including the players, coaches, and staff. It has always been difficult to compete against you on the court, but it has also been a great honor. Your devotion to the game and desire to excellence are genuinely admirable.
Your fervor is what keeps this club going, to all of the fans who never stop screaming from the stands and sticking by them through good times and bad. Every time we go onto the court, your continuous support motivates us to succeed and be the best versions of ourselves. We appreciate each and every one of you and want you to know that your attendance matters regardless of the outcome.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Cleveland community outside of the arena. Your fortitude, cohesion, and unflinching attitude serve as an example to all of us. You exhibit unity in the face of success and hardship, perfectly capturing the spirit of cooperation and camaraderie.
In my opinion, it is our duty as athletes to use our platform to improve the society in which we live. We can bring about change and encourage others to follow suit, whether it is by humanitarian endeavors, community outreach programs, or just sharing words of hope and harmony.
I’d want to thank you again for your ongoing encouragement and support. I have faith that we can succeed as a group, as a team, and as a community if we work together to conquer any challenges. Let’s push each other to reach greater heights both on and off the court while supporting and encouraging one another along the way.
Regards,
Mitchell Donovan
