2025 LB/SAF CJ. Crite commits to UC.
The Georgia native is the first to pledge during the Bearcats’ official visit weekend on May 31-June 2.
Cincinnati has received their first commitment from the May 31-June 2 official visits, landing safety Christian “C.J.” Crite from Lincoln County High School in Georgia. Crite is most likely classified as a STAR, or linebacker/safety hybrid.
Crite picked Cincinnati over offers from Appalachian State, USF, Western Kentucky, and other schools. Crite, who stands 6’1″ and weighs 195 pounds, was a productive wide receiver for Lincoln Country this past season, catching 24 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns. 247Sports gave him a three-star 87 rating and an 88 composite score.
On defense, Crite has 112 solo tackles and 139 overall. He also recorded 17 tackles for loss. He identified himself as a fast, athletic, intelligent, and high-IQ athlete.
The STAR position, which is now manned by Nate Fuqua, will most likely be led by New Mexico State transfer Mehki Miller, with true freshman JiQuan Sanks supporting him. The position mans the center of the three deep safeties, attacking the rushing game while also covering routes through the middle of the field.
Crite spoke with the Bearcat Journal about his decision to commit to Cincinnati.
