The four-star UCF defensive back commit will pay an official visit to Florida State this weekend.
Florida State football has only four commitments in its 2025 recruiting class, including five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

The program has not received a pledge since Hilson switched his commitment from Alabama to Florida State in January. As a result, the Seminoles’ support base is eager for some positive recruiting news. As previously stated, four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny was the only prospect who visited this past weekend.
This recruiting weekend, however, will feature several highly touted prospects, including four-star defensive end Zion Grady, four-star running back Ousmane Kromah, four-star safeties Ladarian Clardy and Bryce Fitzgerald, four-star offensive lineman Max Buchanan, four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard (FSU commit), three-star tight end Chase Loftin, and three-star safety Max Redmon.
With such a large official visitor list compared to last week, I’d want to highlight one prospect in particular: four-star cornerback Tony Williams from Palm Beach Central High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. He stated on social media that he will be traveling down to Tallahassee this weekend.
This may be an interesting thing to watch, given Williams’ current commitment to the UCF Knights. He has only been committed to the program since March. However, it is intriguing that he is prepared to give the Seminoles a fair chance.
Patrick Surtain Sr., Florida State’s defensive backs coach, has continued to impress on the recruiting trail so far. He has established various contacts around the state of Florida. Surtain Sr. previously served as the head football coach at renowned American Heritage High School.
While Williams is scheduled to officially visit the UCF Knights the following week after his official visit with the Seminoles, I anticipate Florida State making the recruitment intriguing and something to consider for the great defensive back.
