Stroman Bridges could not have ended his West Point tour on a finer note.
Bridges, a rising senior from Midland, Texas, was named the Class of 2025 overall MVP during Army’s prospect camp on Saturday.
“The camp was great,” Bridges remarked. “I got to work out in front of the coaches I will be playing for eventually.”
Bridges’ athleticism makes the 6-foot, 195-pound rising senior a standout recruit in Army’s 2025 class. Throughout camp, Bridges worked with slotbacks, quarterbacks, and safeties, as well as coaches Dane Romero (slotbacks), Aaron Smith (wide receivers), Cody Worley (quarterbacks, offensive coordinator), and Danny Verpaele (safeties).
Bridges’ weekend began with the Army’s Knight on the Hudson recruiting event on Friday. Bridges became a recruiter, aiming to persuade prospects to join him at West Point.
“It was a great weekend,” Bridges remarked. “I always love returning to my future home. It was fantastic to engage with other committers and attempt to get some more guys to commit as well.”
The Army’s camp attracted 170 possibilities from across the country. Sam Knuth, a rising senior from Harrisburg (South Dakota), was named the Class of 2025 quarterback MVP.
Harrison Smith, a defensive end for Sequatchie County (Tennessee), was selected the underclassmen defensive MVP.
“My overall experience of the camp was awesome,” said Smith, a rising junior. “It was one of the greatest camps I’ve attended. I loved the intensity, and the coaching staff was fantastic. I joined this camp because I want to play football in the Army and serve my nation.”
