Dear St. Louis Battlehawks family,
As I reflect on my time with the St. Louis Battlehawks, I am overcome with gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for the great support and possibilities that this community has provided me. I write this letter to offer my profound gratitude to the fans, the organisation, and everyone who has helped me grow and succeed.
I felt an instant connection to the Battlehawks and the city from the minute I joined. Our fans’ passion and dedication have been truly remarkable. Your unfailing support, whether in times of win and defeat, has driven my motivation and determination. The enthusiasm you bring to every game, the way you fill the stadium with screams and chants, and the numerous words of encouragement have made playing for the Battlehawks an amazing experience.
Thank you to the Battlehawks organisation for believing in me and creating an environment in which I could grow. The confidence you placed in me as your quarterback enabled me to develop not only as a player but also as a leader. Our coaches and staff’s guidance and mentorship have helped me hone my talents and attain my full potential. It has been an honour to be a member of a team that values hard effort, resilience, and togetherness.
I’m also very grateful to my teammates, who have become like family to me. We’ve overcome hardships, enjoyed successes, and made memories that will last a lifetime. The camaraderie we have on and off the pitch is something I will always value.
St. Louis, you have given me a home, not simply a place to play football. Your enthusiasm for the game and this team has been an ongoing source of motivation. You’ve shown me what it is to be a part of a community that sticks together, helps one another, and never gives up.
As I continue on my journey, I will carry with me the lessons I have learned and the love I have gotten from this great community. I’m proud to have worn the Battlehawks jersey and represented my city. Thank you for welcoming me and being an important part of my professional and personal progress.
With tremendous thanks and respect,
Steven Gonzalez,
Quarterback for the St. Louis Battlehawks
