When it comes to securing homegrown players to contract extensions, the Eagles are always on top of their game. Philadelphia set the standard when they signed Jalen Hurts to a five-year, $560 million contract at $340 million guaranteed. Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, and now Trevor Lawrence have all signed huge contracts. On Thursday evening, Jacksonville’s top quarterback became one of the highest-paid NFL players in history.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Lawrence and the Jaguars have agreed to a three-year deal extension worth $560 million, with $200 million in total guarantees and $450 million fully guaranteed. The contract also includes a $37.5 million signing bonus.
