Dear Providence Friars, Fans, and the Entire Community:
I hope this message finds you well and cheerful. As I reflect on my time with the Providence College Friars, I am filled with gratitude and a deep appreciation for the love, support, and encouragement you have provided me. I write to you today with a grateful heart.
From the moment I stepped onto campus, I was struck by the Providence community’s warmth and inviting spirit. Your steadfast support, both on and off the court, has been an ongoing source of motivation and inspiration. Whether it was the raucous applause at game nights at the Dunkin’ Donuts Centre or the warm words of encouragement on campus, your presence has been critical to my development as an athlete and as a person.
Playing for the Friars has been a great honour and privilege. The camaraderie, difficulties, and achievements we shared helped form me into the player and person I am today. The coaching staff, my teammates, and every member of the athletic department have created an environment that has aided my development and enabled me to reach new heights. For this, I am eternally grateful.
To the fans, your dedication and enthusiasm for the game have been nothing short of incredible. Your enthusiasm propelled our performances, and your confidence in us never faltered, even in the face of adversity. You are the heart and spirit of the Friars, and I am honoured to have been a member of this extraordinary community.
As I move on in my career, I will carry with me the essential lessons, memories, and friendships I formed at Providence College. Thank you for believing in me and being an important part of my path. I will always remember the Friars fondly and enjoy our time together.
With sincere gratitude and respect,
Alpha Diallo
