His father, Dale Haaland, played two seasons at Spokane Community Colleges before moving on to Gonzaga for two seasons from 1985 to 1987. Dale played 56 games for the Zags, averaging 10.0 points and 6.7 rebounds. Noah’s mother, Robyn Benson, played volleyball for Gonzaga from 1985 to 1986 after attending Coeur d’Alene High School. Noah’s familial ties run deep, as it appears he was born to be a Zag.
