Dear Baylor Lady Bears, Fans, and the Entire Community:
As I ponder on my journey, I am overwhelmed with appreciation and delight. I write this letter to offer my heartfelt gratitude to the Baylor Lady Bears, our great fans, and the whole Baylor community. Your continuous support and encouragement have been important in my development, both as a player and as a person.
Joining the Baylor Lady Bears was a dream come true, and the experience far surpassed my expectations. From the moment I came on campus, I felt welcomed by a community that is passionate, dedicated, and full of spirit. The friendship and sense of belonging I’ve experienced here are unparalleled. Each practice, game, and moment spent with my teammates has demonstrated the ideals of hard work, dedication, and unity that Baylor represents.
My teammates and coaches, your faith in me has been a constant source of motivation. You have pushed me to my boundaries, allowing me to realise my full potential and achieve goals that I previously felt were beyond of reach. The things I’ve gained on and off the court have been invaluable, and I’ll be eternally thankful for your mentorship, guidance, and friendship. You have become my family, and our bonds will last a lifetime.
Our fantastic fans’ support has been like the wind beneath our wings. Whether you were roaring in the stands, following us on social media, or sending encouraging comments, you demonstrated everlasting dedication and love. The excitement you bring to each game is palpable, and it has driven our determination to perform at our best. Knowing that we have a community to support us through every high and low has made this journey even more meaningful.
As I advance in my work, I carry with me the teachings, memories, and affection that I gained at Baylor. I am proud to have been a part of such an outstanding institution, and I am looking forward to what the future brings. Thank you for being a key part of my journey. I will always treasure the memories we shared and the influence you had on my life.
With deepest thanks,
Jana van Gytenbeek
